Let’s get physical

Stamp out aches and pains

The results are in. We carried out a survey with 1,500 colleagues, and the majority revealed that swapping from a pouch to a trolley has greatly improved back issues, shoulder cramps and aches.

Delivering parcels is part of the job – but there are plenty of options to keep your physical health in check.

The free NHS App gives advice on common muscle, back and joint problems, along with exercises and video clips to help you get moving safely. It also can provide you with reminders as to when you’re due to log in and do your exercise.

New to myBundle+, the TrackActive Me app helps you to manage joint, spine and muscle conditions to keep you physically fit. It works on a mobile phone and was developed by physiotherapists in conjunction with London South Bank University. It provides tailored exercises and reminders according to your needs, and gives you advice about when you need to seek medical advice.

To provide colleagues with useful tips and information, we’ve developed an eLearning package that everyone can access via myroyalmail.com. As well as exercises and other sources of help, the new learning product can be accessed directly from Success Factors by clicking the link here.
