Ruislip’s recognition
Prime Minister Boris Johnson surprised colleagues at Ruislip Delivery Office with a visit to say thanks for their hard work this year – and ended up being equally shocked by their own fundraising feats, writes Paul Smith.
Mr Johnson delivered a thank you message for all Royal Mail colleagues while at Ruislip, as published earlier this week.
While there he heard about the unit’s fundraising efforts, led by postman and workplace coach Paul Quinnell, who inspired the team to raise £10,000 for the NHS. He felt in debt to them for helping him to survive cancer 20 years ago.
Watch Ruislip colleagues, including Paul, talking about Boris’ visit and their fundraising efforts in this video.
