Royal welcome
The Prince of Wales today visited Cirencester Delivery Office to thank Royal Mail colleagues for working through what is forecast to be the biggest ever Peak in our 500 year history, writes Rachel Brennan.
His Royal Highness was taken on a tour of the unit where he congratulated colleagues, some who decided to mark the occasion in festive fancy dress.
Prince Charles also inspected one of the new environmentally-friendly delivery vans being piloted around the country before he was gifted a framed collection of First Class stamps depicting a stained glass window at St Andrew’s Church in Coln Rogers, Gloucestershire.
