Millionth york
In our final RMtv of 2020, we’re in York to see the millionth york that we’ve accepted into our operation.
It has been aptly painted gold to mark the landmark figure. Our first ever york was developed in the former York Mail Centre – hence the name – in 1992. From one to one million in 28 years shows just how much our parcel volumes have grown.
Press play to hear from field operations director, Ricky McAulay and colleagues in York about the milestone.
It has been quite a year. We have now delivered more than 500 million items of protective equipment to NHS and adult social care locations on behalf of the Government. We’re showcasing the achievement with a new fleet livery – a huge well done to all involved.
Also, in the programme, we take an exclusive look at ‘Royal Mail at Selfridges,’ an immersive experience spanning instore and online. There’s even a dedicated Royal Mail pop-up space at the landmark Oxford Street store.
The CEO and COO Awards are back – we meet the colleagues prized with the new Fleet Workshop of the Quarter Award. And it’s the return of Courier – with a brand-new look.
