Closing in on £2 million

Our charity partner Action for Children has a special message for you

We’re heading towards smashing our £2 million fundraising target for Action for Children in the early part of 2021.

We’ve raised an incredible £1.9 million for youth mental health thanks to our charity partnership.

Now Action for Children has shared its thanks to each and every Royal Mail colleague who has been involved in fundraising or who has donated throughout the course of the year.

It said: ‘We have now raised an incredible £1.9 million for youth mental health – an absolutely amazing achievement! This is thanks to each and every one of you who has got involved with fundraising for Action for Children. We can’t wait to smash our £2 million target over the first few months of 2021!

‘Despite it being such a challenging and incredibly busy year for you all, you have continued to show your community spirit. From taking part in Action for Children’s Boycott your Bed in August, to our Superhero fancy dress day in November and finally some festive fundraising over December. We really can’t say thank you enough!’

Since the start of our partnership, over 5,000 young people have taken part in the Blues Programme. The programme has made a real difference to these young people by providing them with the tools and techniques to support their mental health - both now and in the future.

Charlotte’s daughter, Sasha, took part in the Blues Programme and is so glad she had the skills to support her through such a turbulent year.

Charlotte said: ‘I think if she [Sasha] hadn’t had Blues she wouldn’t have managed as well with this situation. She could use the tips she has learned to manage her feelings and cope.’

Thanks to everyone across Royal Mail and Parcelforce for helping to deliver better youth mental health across the UK.
