Mental check: Don’t be afraid to ask for help

For Kidderminster postman and health and wellbeing ambassador Peter Thompson, it was 2017 when he suffered a massive period of depression and anxiety, writes Rachel Brennan

‘I was off for six months dealing with the effects,’ he said. ‘Management were fantastic, and I’m very grateful for the way they handled my return to work.

‘Last year, I was asked to volunteer as a health and wellbeing ambassador. I wanted to find a way to fight the stigma of mental health in the workplace. It’s just the platform I need to get my message heard.’

Loneliness can come at the most unexpected of times. Press play to hear from Peter about how you can help yourself and others during the festive period.
