Additional delivery location options offer customers greater convenience

Expecting a parcel sent as a Tracked 24/48 or Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am/1pm, but not going to be at home? No problem!

Customers can simply use our Inflight delivery options service, which allows recipients to choose from even more alternative locations for delivery of these items.

In addition to Preferred Neighbour and Safeplace, available on Tracked 24/48, the delivery location options have now been widened to also include requests for delivery on another day, Local Collect at a customer service point (CSP) and from Post Office branches. These additional options are available on Royal Mail Tracked and Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am and 1pm products.

Our existing redeliveries service has also been enhanced through the introduction of next day redeliveries for applicable postcode areas.

For customers, the convenience and flexibility provided by Inflight delivery options and enhancements to redeliveries is a real value-add as it means that by selecting our Royal Mail Tracked or Special Delivery Guaranteed products, they are able to control when and where they receive their parcel.

The new services also offer operational benefits to Royal Mail, specifically an improved first-time delivery rate and fewer callers at our CSPs.
