Every penny counts

Outside of work, Doncaster MPU manager Kevin Reynolds runs a junior football team – Killamarsh Dynamos Under-9's.
This year, Kevin’s team has been selected from hundreds of entries to partner Hallam FM – the largest radio station in South Yorkshire – in this year’s ‘Cash for Kids Sports Challenge,’ raising funds for disadvantaged and disabled children in the South Yorkshire area.
‘The money we raise via the Cash for Kids Sports Challenge can make a real difference to the lives of local children and young people,’ said Kevin. ‘The kids in the team are an inspiration to all of us in these difficult and testing times. They’re a real pleasure to coach and I feel very privileged to be involved with this campaign. The energy and passion they have shown so far, in helping to raise much-needed funds for deprived and disabled children, is remarkable.
‘Over half-term, we had eight and nine-year-old children out fundraising and taking part in a range of activities from cycling coast to coast (over 200km) to climbing Scafell Pike (the highest peak in the Lake District).
‘For the next few weeks, I’ll be doing all I can to generate as much money as possible for this great charity, working hand in hand with Hallam FM. Everything raised in our area stays in our area, with a focus on helping disadvantaged children, families on low income, and those who live in deprived areas.
‘The money we raise will also be used to help improve the quality of life of children with disabilities and autism within the South Yorkshire area. Any amount you care to give is very much appreciated. Every penny counts. Thank you!’
