Royal Mail is more 500 years old, but our products and services remain as relevant as ever.

That’s because we not only offer a wide range of options to suit every mail need, but we also offer our customers quick and easy access to our postage solutions online via Click & Drop and the Royal Mail App.

In the current pandemic climate and lockdown restrictions, these platforms are now more convenient than ever as customers can purchase our products and services from home at any time of the day or night, print off and affix the postage label, then drop the items off into our network through any one of our postboxes or parcel postboxes. 

While many people already transact with us via our website and app, we’re convinced that usage of these opportunities is not yet at its full potential, and public awareness of our online offering has been shown to trail behind some of our competitors. So, we’ve launched a large-scale marketing campaign to promote our online postage purchase solutions.

The campaign, which began mid-October and will run until late-December, is targeted at marketplace resellers, small to medium size enterprises and consumers - who, of course, also include all our colleagues. We’re using multiple offline and online channels – including press, out-of-home (like bus shelters), radio, podcasts, Door to Door, social media, influencer partnerships and online displays (such as on eBay).

Evolving through three phases, the campaign initially focused on establishing our Click & Drop brand and the core message of buying postage online. We’ve now progressed into showcasing our great products and features. For example, our new Parcel Collect service has added another dimension in convenience to consumers, who can arrange online to have their pre-paid parcels (and parcel returns) collected from their homes for a nominal extra fee. And there’s our growing number of parcel postboxes, which complete the online postage solution for parcel traffic.
