Responding to Covid-19
In this week’s RMtv programme, we hear from colleagues in Manchester on how they responded to a spike in Covid-19 cases in late July.
While the UK remains on alert for a second wave of Covid-19, colleagues continue to come together to limit disruptions for our customers. Social distancing, increased parcel volumes and the additional costs of protective equipment have made this a seriously challenging time for the business.
Press play to hear how these challenges were overcome when Manchester Mail Centre suffered a spate of positive cases in late July.
‘In Manchester Mail Centre, I think it was 42 cases over two-and-a-half weeks,’ said Steve Selby SDL North West. ‘It was quite incredible.
‘Providing we continue to review work areas, review working practices and complete the Covid-19 risk assessments, we can keep our people safe.’
We also take a look at one of our four special edition postboxes, celebrating Black History Month, and we hear from a colleague who is living with a life-changing, work-related injury.
The programme is now live across our channels. This includes Content on Demand for those safe and able to watch on that channel, socially distanced.
