Fit for the future
This week’s RMtv programme, includes a special interview with Mick Jeavons on how we’re working to ensure the Universal Service best meets our customers’ needs in the future.
Falling letter volumes is a huge challenge for the business. At our AGM earlier this month, we announced that in the first five months of this year, we’ve seen parcel volume growth of 34 per cent – that’s 178 million more parcels than last year.
That’s great news for us as a business. But falling letter volumes and the continued growth of parcels means we’re reviewing the financial sustainability of the Universal Service.
Press play to hear more from chief financial officer, Mick Jeavons on where we’re at financially.
Also, in the programme, we meet London postman Vincent Micallef, who thought of the idea of using postmen and women to ‘be the eyes on the street’ in the search for missing people. And celebrating our community, culture and workforce as part of last week’s Bi-Visibility Day.
The programme is now live across our channels. This includes Content on Demand for those safe and able to watch on that channel, socially distanced.
