Lockdown may have eased and the infection rates lowered, but coronavirus remains a serious threat that everyone must be wary of.

As key workers, Royal Mail has been on the frontline throughout the pandemic. Working alongside our unions, the health and safety of our colleagues and customers has been our number one priority.

We were the first delivery company to issue new guidelines for interacting on the doorstep and we have led the way from the off with the necessary changes required to follow the latest Government guidelines.

‘We have seen a stabilisation and reduction in our number of confirmed cases,’ he explains. ‘One thing I am hearing is the two metres guidance has gone – it has not. There is a provision to work at one metre but only providing there is mitigation and control in place.’
