#royalmailbusiness

To support small businesses and marketplace sellers, we have launched a dedicated Business Instagram page - to provide inspiration, support and advice for growing businesses.
After our sales teams’ experiences and recent online trends highlighted the high number of small businesses present on Instagram, we developed our new Business Instagram account to engage and provide insight into Royal Mail’s customer base of more than 26,000 SME businesses.
The aim of the account is to showcase Royal Mail assets suitable for SMEs such as App, Click & Drop, guides and insights into shipping, market trends, marketplaces, and how we can support and grow these businesses.
Head of shipping solutions, Darren Hatton, features on the first live podcast, answering customer questions on Click & Drop and how to get the best value from this service.
Current apprentices, sales development manager, Stacey Firn and desk account manager, Catherine Arnold, who are on the BSB Sales degree and have over 24 years’ experience in sales within Royal Mail between them, have been working on the Instagram initiative over recent months.
‘We want to be more connected with our SME customers digitally,’ said Stacey. ‘Covid-19 has only accelerated the need for this in the amount of new business sign ups increasing and the high street moving online, so these customers need more guidance on the next steps to start using post.
‘This is a big step for Royal Mail and one we hope will provide businesses with lots of valuable insights. It’s also an opportunity for customers to share stories about their businesses, helping others to grow. We’re very excited and can’t wait to see where this goes.
‘Several customers have already shown a readiness to participate in case studies and share ‘their stories.’ You can start following the page at www.instagram.com/royalmailbusiness. If you know of any small businesses yourself, please spread the word, follow and share.’
