Working together
The latest Courier has begun landing at homes

In your June/July issue, out now, we look at the impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on the business.
Despite the huge efforts of the last months we are losing around £1 million in the UK every day. We have not adapted quickly enough to the changes in our marketplace of more parcels and fewer letters, and Covid-19 has accelerated those trends. That’s why we have implemented a three-step action plan.
- Address the key challenges posed by Covid-19, including taking immediate action on costs.
- Accelerate the pace of change in the UK, working with Unite and CWU.
- Work with all our stakeholders on a financially sustainable USO for the 21st century.
Also, in this issue:
- Joint Statement – Royal Mail and CWU are in formal talks, working together on the operational and financial challenges facing the business.
- A changing landscape – the challenges our business faces and how we’re adapting.
- Twice the power – Colleagues welcome a second PSM at South Midlands Mail Centre.
- Employee Survey – All key measures increase in our annual survey.
And finally, from Ruislip to Redditch, Stirling to Cirencester, postmen and women up and down the UK have been donning fancy dress to raise spirits, donations and funding for their communities.
