Fantastic fundraising

Despite the limitations of lockdown, there are still plenty of great ways you can raise money at home for Action for Children.
Our Group Legal team has been setting a fantastic example, making the most of their lockdown to raise £300 for our charity partner.
After the Sheffield team kicked off its fundraising with an Easter-themed quiz in April, the Risk & Governance teams held a photo competition in May to find the best ‘life in lockdown’ photo.
There were some fantastic entries across the teams, with a hamper of goodies as the prize. The winning entry was from senior legal advisor, Nick Rutherford, with his (pictured) entry entitled ‘Modern Slavery Act 2015 compliance training session for toddlers and babies (in utero).’
Virtual fundraising is a great way to support Action for Children while bringing your team together. If you’re working from home, you could consider donating a few pounds that you would normally spend on your daily commute or lunch? Click here for more fantastic fundraising ideas.
All the money you raise will go towards the Blues Programme, Action for Children’s internationally acclaimed blues-busting course for teenagers. Funded by Royal Mail, the six-week course gives students the support they need to understand how they’re feeling. It helps them to build resilience and reduces low mood, depression and anxiety. Really importantly, it gets teenagers talking.
