A big thank you

Love and respect for the HWDC team from Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care

Colleagues at Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre (HWDC) have been praised and thanked for all their hard work by the local branch of a worldwide benevolent movement.

Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC) is an initiative of the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, ‘a spiritual movement for inner transformation through wisdom, meditation and selfless service.’ Founded by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshbhai, the organisation works through 108 centres in five continents.

Communication and engagement lead for Royal Mail International, Bob Lawrence, said: ‘We are all sincerely grateful for the unexpected and very much appreciated box of goodies and treats that we were given by Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care last week.

‘Thanks also for the lovely messages of appreciation contained in the box. Key workers like us have continued to work through the pandemic period to ensure we continue delivering the best possible service for our customers during these unprecedented times.

‘There have been quite a few mentions of colleagues in the media during this crisis and they usually feature those in delivery units as they are obviously the face of Royal Mail that the general public see each day.

‘Our people working at HWDC deal with all the international mail, coming in and out of the UK and so are not generally seen by the public as much as perhaps other colleagues. This makes the praise we have received extra special.

‘We decided to distribute the many sweets and snacks provided to colleagues on our late shift and some members of the team (pictured) got together to show their appreciation (in a socially distanced way of course!) Once again, thank you very much from all the team at HWDC.’
