Before she started her biscuit business, owner Rebecca Honeywell-Ward used to be a photographer, mainly shooting portraits and weddings.

But when she had a daughter and realised that once her little girl started school she would be out shooting weddings every weekend and wouldn’t really be around, she came up with the idea that she could pursue a baking business.

‘The first time I did anything was for my daughter’s christening,’ she said. ‘I baked a load of cakes and biscuits and the reaction was great. People basically said: “You should sell these.”

‘To be honest, my first thoughts were “No way, baking is too much work.” But we realised that we were onto something good when Selfridges approached us to produce some Halloween and Christmas gift sets. I was icing biscuits with a newborn on the hip and a piping bag on the other…it was mad. But when Selfridges come calling – you take it!

‘In all honesty, we couldn’t have done anything without Royal Mail. We’ve used them since the beginning. With Royal Mail we were able to scale up the business to meet the demands of our customers.’
