The finalists for the 2020 Amazon everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards have been announced.

Included in the list of finalists are four colleagues, who have excelled in their roles and made a significant contribution to the strategic direction of the business.

Returning for its 13th year this established industry event is continuing its mission to uncover female role models, identify male ‘agents of change’ and transform the industry perception.

After learning of her place as a finalist, Angelica Wallace, who has been nominated for going ‘above and beyond her role to help drive the organisation's success,’ said: ‘I am absolutely honoured to receive this nomination and I truly appreciate the recognition.

‘The world has gone through a big shift in the past few months with the pandemic changing our day to day lives and the way we work. It has been quite challenging in Operations adjusting to our new way of working, but receiving such awards almost gives you that extra motivation to keep going.

‘I am proud to work in the Transport and Logistics industry and feel it’s important to recognise and celebrate women in such a male-dominated industry, so a big congratulations to all the other nominees.’

Head of diversity and inclusion, Peter de Norville, said: ‘It is fantastic news that Royal Mail has four finalists in this year’s everywoman Transport and Logistics awards. It is wonderful to see each one of them getting the recognition they deserve.

‘Julia, Jennifer, Angelica, and Mel’s success will not only shine the spotlight on themselves, but also on Royal Mail, and all the colleagues who will be following in their footsteps.’

Please note, the Amazon everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards will be held on 6 October 2020 at JW Marriott, Grosvenor House, London, subject to Government guidelines.
