Stay busy, stay happy

Watch: HGV driver Joe Henderson shares his top tips for a healthy mind and body

HGV driver Joe Henderson, from Southampton Mail Centre, is just one of hundreds of thousands of determined colleagues pulling together to get the job done during these difficult times.

One of our regular RMtv presenters, Joe has been with the business for 15 years. When he’s not got his eyes on the road, Joe loves nothing more than a curry or spending time in his garden, cultivating his bumper crop of summer vegetables.

Press play to hear Joe’s top tips for staying on top of the lockdown blues.

‘Keep busy,’ he said. ‘Don’t sit around being bored, just keep yourself busy. Do some home baking and bake some cakes.

‘But above all, do some exercise. Run up and down the stairs or exercise in the garden. Doing anything to stay busy will be good for your mental health.’
