Scented surprise

Jo Malone London thanks colleagues with luxury hand sanitiser

The Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland (ELC), together with its Jo Malone London brand, have donated thousands of bottles of hand sanitiser as a ‘thank you’ to colleagues across the South East for their continued hard work throughout the coronavirus crisis.

As part of a global movement to contribute to covid-19 relief efforts, ELC and Jo Malone London have been producing hand sanitiser at their Whitman Laboratories manufacturing facility in Petersfield, Hampshire. Filled in 250ml Jo Malone London bottles and distributed from ELC’s nearby Fareham-based Kite’s Croft distribution centre, thousands of units of hand sanitiser have been donated to NHS staff and a range of key workers, like us, across the country.

Postwoman Susan Vaughan, from Woking Delivery Office, said: ‘It was a complete surprise that these bottles were coming in. It’s a really good product. I’ve been a postwoman for 37 years; this sort of thing doesn’t happen often. To be recognised as a key worker doing a good job is quite a boost.’

Joe Massey, South Coast service delivery leader, said: ‘We are hugely grateful to the Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland and Jo Malone London for their donation of hand sanitisers to postmen and women across the South East.

‘We have been overwhelmed by the support of local businesses and our customers across Hampshire and the South East as we continue to deliver at this challenging time.’

Kerry Easter, vice-president Supply Chain UK & Ireland at the Estée Lauder Companies said: ‘On behalf of the Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the key workers at Royal Mail as they continue to deliver to the nation during these difficult times.

‘Our donation is a token of our support and appreciation of the vital role they have played in supporting businesses and communities during the coronavirus crisis.’

The House of Jo Malone London said: ‘We are delighted to support Royal Mail. At Jo Malone London, we are truly grateful for everything they are doing to keep our country moving. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Royal Mail.’
