Protecting the vulnerable
In previous RMtv programmes, we have demonstrated the crucial work we’re doing for the Government in delivering, collecting and returning coronavirus testing kits.
Press play to see how we’re ramping up the vital role we’re playing in delivering protective equipment to 45,000 NHS and adult social care locations across the country.
Find out how the elderly residents of one care home in Nottinghamshire have benefitted from the protective equipment we delivered to the nursing staff, whose job it is to look after them.
Jack Titterton, manager, Church Farm Nursing Home, said: ‘PPE is so important at the moment. It’s Public Health England (PHE) guidance that we all have to wear face masks in the home.
‘All the staff here are fantastic and they have to be protected, they’ve got families at home. Our residents, our family here, they’ve got to be protected. We have to protect everyone.
Postman Simon Holmes, from Cotgrave Delivery Office, said: ‘The PPE we’re providing means we have the masks, the sanitiser, and the gloves to enable the nursing staff to keep their distance.
‘The protective gear will help to protect them and their residents. It’s good to be able to deliver this equipment and know that it’s a good service we’re providing.’
