We are doing our utmost

We are doing everything we can to ensure our people are protected and provided with the protective equipment they need, this is our primary concern.
Global demand for this equipment is at unprecedented levels and several countries have placed export bans on the sale of PPE.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) and Public Health England (PHE) have both stated that there are no requirements for the wearing of face masks outside of a clinical or care setting and there is very little evidence to show that they provide additional protection.
However, we recognise that some colleagues feel uncomfortable and exposed and so we have made arrangements for face masks to be made available.
Press play to hear compliance and sustainability director, Shaun Davis’s guidance around protective equipment.
‘We’ve got hand sanitisers as well as lint-free cloths and wipes for the PDAs,’ said Shaun. ‘We have had a challenge on a global scale accessing some of these products and so in some areas, this equipment has been a bit slower arriving than we would have liked.
‘This is why it has been really important that we have maintained our hand hygiene messaging in the background.’
