Get ready to thumble
In the first ever ‘virtual’ Prime Minister’s Questions – and Keir Starmer’s first as Leader of the Opposition – Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab highlighted our role in the delivery of personal protective equipment (PPE), as he stood in for the Prime Minister.
‘We’ve established the hotlines, the Royal Mail procedures and a new pilot website to make sure not only that we’ve got the amount of PPE we need, but also so it can get to the most vulnerable and those on the frontline who need it most,’ he said.
Over the past few weeks we have been inundated with messages and pictures from our customers across the UK in praise of the extra lengths our postmen and women have been going to during the coronavirus crisis.
Our ‘Thumbs-up’ campaign is a simple way for the public to say thanks and stay connected with their local postmen and women, while respecting the Government’s social distancing rules.
Press play to see how some of our younger customers have been getting involved.
We’ve made it easy for households to get involved and show their appreciation. ‘Thumbs- Up’ templates are available from royalmail.com to download, decorate and put in customers’ front windows. The bolder, and more creative and colourful, the better. We’re also asking families to send us their Thumbs Up selfies, using the hashtag #ThumbsUpForYourPostie.
We’re incredibly proud of what colleagues throughout the business are doing in these challenging times. Thank you to everyone for your unwavering commitment. You hard work is keeping this country running.
