Terrific twosome

George Moore, you know the score

Customer service is all about making an impression and colleagues up and down the country have been pulling out all the stops to show why we’re the number one postal service in the UK.

Tipton twosome, Andy and Jenny’s ‘mannerisms, politeness and smiles’ even convinced one customer to change their business courier to us.

Thank you to Michelle in Bitterne Manor for making such a nice impression on one of your elderly customers, Gary in Mansfield, thanks for ‘being brilliant,’ and George in Carrickfergus, your customer service and extra mileability in ‘extreme’ conditions went down a storm.

‘People are quick to point the finger when it goes wrong and not so quick to feedback when things go really well. Both these employees went the extra mile today. My two dogs escaped (albeit 2 minutes) and they offered assistance. I didn’t need it but their mannerisms, politeness and smiles were enough to convince me to switch postal services for my business where I currently use alternative currier services. Andy is always smiling and my children know him by his name. Makes it a personal touch and we actually feel like it’s a family service and he’s our postal guy. Honestly These two people deserve recognition. I’ve tried to poach their services if I be honest! Can’t beat people/employees who have will and skill.

John Healey – Uxbridge Delivery Office

‘We would like to tell you about the wonderful service provided to the residents of Edinburgh Close rain or shine! John Healy is always friendly and concerned for the residents. He ensures that the correct letters are delivered to the right address making sure that names match the occupants. He always makes time to speak to people, which for some elderly residents, is very important, as he may be the only person they see on a regular basis. His kindness and attention to detail is to be commended and rewarded.’

Gary Mott – Mansfield Delivery Office

‘Our regular postie, Gary is the best postman we have ever had. He is friendly, efficient, thoughtful and reliable. We miss him when he’s away and we always know if he's not doing the round. He deserves recognition for simply being brilliant.’

Michelle Chambers – Bitterne Manor Delivery Office

‘I would like to bring to your attention your post lady, Michelle for being so helpful, friendly and caring. I am a pensioner with a disability. Michelle goes beyond just delivering the mail. She has on occasion helped me carry my shopping upstairs to my flat, which I find very difficult. She’s a great credit to you all in the postal service. She is to be highly commended in my book.’

George Moore – Carrickfergus Delivery Office

‘We received mail today in what were totally atrocious weather conditions. The postman rang the bell to apologise for the fact that one of the letters he was delivering was somewhat wet and the glue keeping the envelope together had started to separate. Under the conditions, I’m amazed that any mail got through at all, never mind in readable condition. At the time, I didn’t get the opportunity to adequately thank the postman and so I’d like to convey my thanks to him and commend him for his service in such extreme conditions.’
