A simple thank you

When a customer handed north London postman Daniel Snoad a letter, he was initially a bit sceptical.

Finchley Church End delivery office manager, Lauren Walsh-Fearon, said: ‘Daniel was dubious…but pleasantly surprised when he opened it!’

The letter, which you can read in full below, was from a customer full of praise for our people during this challenging time.

Dear Postman,

Thank you for continuing to deliver the post through this Covid 19 phase and all other times.

I appreciate you and your colleagues for the work you do during all the difficult seasons, rain, wind snow etc. You always come to us and we thank you.

God protect you and your families.

Performance coach, Leanne Andrews, from Whitechapel Delivery Office in east London, said: ‘Here’s some positivity for you all. A letter from one of our customers in London. A simple letter like this is definitely a morale booster.

‘While this is a worrying time for us all, I’m sure we will all endeavour to provide the best service we can for our lovely customers like this one, because they do appreciate us.’
