We have made major commitments to our colleagues. If we successfully deliver our Journey 2024 transformation plan at pace, we will be able to remain the best employer in our industry.

That means:

1. We will have the best terms and conditions in our industry.

2. We will invest in change to ensure a sustainable Royal Mail.

3. We will have a fairer working environment.

4. We won’t join the gig economy. There will be no zero hours contracts for permanent employees.

5. No compulsory redundancy for frontline operational colleagues. There will be opportunities for those who can and want to work for Royal Mail.

6. We will maintain the current voluntary redundancy terms.

7. No outsourcing of core Royal Mail operational units.

8. We will deliver the Universal Service Obligation for our country.
