Maggie Throup MP visits Ilkeston Delivery Office

Maggie Throup MP has officially opened the new visitor car parking spaces at Ilkeston Delivery Office.

Previously, there was no customer parking at Ilkeston Delivery Office, which led to complaints from other businesses on the industrial estate about our customers parking in their grounds.

One business was so annoyed that they asked local Maggie Throup MP for Erewash to get involved. Following meetings with Mrs Throup and discussions with Property it was agreed that we would install some parking.

As evidence that we understand how important it is to be considerate to our business neighbours, our £80,000 investment in Ilkeston has resulted in six new customer parking bays.

Mrs Throup thanked colleagues for all they did during the General Election campaign in the run up to Christmas, and after helping out on the customer service point, she opened the bays with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. This was attended by Derbyshire operations manager, Kate Ellis, line manager, Richard Salt, delivery office manager, Mohammed Ahmad and Ilkeston postmen and women, Graham Cram, Belinda Duffield and John Summerfield (pictured), who delivers the post to Mrs Throup’s home.
