The personal touch

Our customer compliments are great examples of just how much of an impact fantastic service can have in influencing how Royal Mail is perceived.

For example, Brierley Hill’s Nasir’s knowledge and professionalism confirmed a customer’s belief that they had made the right choice switching to Royal Mail from one of our main rivals.

I asked for further information to be emailed to me which he did. He definitely made me want to stick to Royal Mail after switching over to you from Hermes.’

‘I think this young man is called Liam, he is our usual postie. He is the nicest, most helpful postman we have ever had. He delivers to our daughter too and is just as helpful in that area too.’

‘Zoe is a very friendly and happy postwoman. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she always delivers my post with a smile. She’s always chatty and if I ever need any help with anything she always tries her best to please.’

‘I would like to tell you that Andy is the best postman ever. He should win an award. He goes above and beyond his job to help. A couple of years ago he came to my home to give me details about someone who actually put my dog in their van. He saw a few of us looking for my dog and came to see me after he finished his round to give me the details. He is so happy and friendly and always has time for you. At the moment, I’m going through a bit of a rough time, but he always checks to see if I’m ok. I don’t know him personally. I only know him as our postie and only found out what his name was the other day because a lady was talking in the post office to say that she had emailed Royal Mail to say what a great postman he is. So, I told her that I’d like to do the same! I also know that he's helped others on this round too. He really is a top man and an asset to your company.’

Lee Chapman – Ware Delivery Office

‘Lee at Ware Customer Services was very helpful when I was worried that a parcel wouldn’t get delivered due to it not having my full address on my order. Lee made a note for my postman to make sure he delivered it to me after taking my name and details. On delivery day, I received a message to say that my parcel had arrived and she would make sure my full address was on it. It was great customer service. I was very impressed - well done!’
