Empowering young minds

Book your one-day mental health workshop today

In collaboration with our charity partner, Action for Children, we are launching a training programme for colleagues, who wish to support young people’s mental health.

We know that many colleagues support young people outside of work. Whether you’re a football coach, a guide leader or perhaps a foster carer, and you would like to better support those young people in a different way – this programme could be for you.

The Approach training is a one-day workshop that aims to build your understanding around mental health resilience. The programme will equip you with techniques to support young people in your network, who are showing signs of early depression, anxiety and stress. We hope that you will also be able to use these techniques in your own daily lives.

The principles of the training are based on Action for Children’s internationally acclaimed ‘blues busting’ course for teenagers, the Blues Programme. We hope that the Approach training will increase the reach of this already highly successful programme, which provides young people with the tools to support their mental health both now and in the future.

Please note that this is not a training course to become an official Blues Programme practitioner.

Your commitment

We ask that all participants share the knowledge they have learned through the training to support young people in their network. To assess the impact of this training, we will check in with participants periodically.
