Choose talk, change lives
Thursday 6 February was Time to Talk Day, an opportunity for all of us to be more open about mental health.
Last week, units across the country held events to mark the day and emphasise the importance of starting conversations around mental wellbeing.
Around 10 million adults will experience a mental health issue every year. Mental health problems can affect anyone at any point in our lives. We know that talking about mental health can sometimes feel awkward, but it doesn't have to be that way. Choose talk, change lives.
Press play to hear from senior postbox strategy revisions manager and former postman, Paul Brown, who has bravely agreed to share his mental health journey.
Paul, who has worked at Royal Mail for 32 years, is both a mental health ambassador and mental health first-aider, who on the back of his experiences, now provides mental health guidance to new nurses starting their careers in the NHS.
