‘It’s not Big Brother’
One of the key national trials that we are progressing is Automated Hours Data Capture (AHDC).
This is a signing in and out technology that’s already in place in lots of businesses across the UK.
One such company, which uses a different, but similar technology to the type we are currently trialling, is Jersey Post.
Press play to find out what postal workers in Jersey think about their clocking in and out system.
Jersey Post postman, Michael Batho, said: ‘It’s just become the norm now, like all technology.
‘New technology is coming in all the time. This will be the norm in the next couple of years, not just for us, but for all companies.’
Toni Stephens, HR partner, Jersey Post, said: ‘It’s not there to catch anybody out. It’s there to help the business.
‘It’s not Big Brother. We’re not going to spend hours upon hours looking at reports and trying to go through information. It’s there to help the business to be more productive and efficient.’
