One to XI: Dennis Hill

Today’s ex-footballer was a blonde bombshell, back in the day…
6. Dennis Hill
Dennis Hill’s role as a delivery manager was preceded by a professional football career where he played for Burnley, Torquay, Airdrieonians, Lancaster City, Clitheroe and Bamberbridge.
From 1988 until 2002, Dennis clocked up more than 800 appearances – terrorising defences from the left wing. Despite being a big fan of bitter rivals Blackburn Rovers, he still plays for the Vintage Clarets, a collection of ex-Burnley players who raise money for local charities.
Dennis said: ‘Some of my colleagues may say my blonde streaks were the highlight of my career, but I’d argue it was my appearance in the FA Rose Final at Wembley.’
He attended Accrington and Rossendale College with Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, and Trevor Sinclair.
