Electric revolution

Your January Courier will be landing at homes from today – Friday 24 January

In your first issue of 2020, we look at how colleagues’ hard work delivered a fantastic Peak season.

Your January issue is all about progress – from our new fleet of electric vans helping us on our mission to keep cutting our emissions, to Home Counties North Mail Centre becoming our first to host two parcel sort machines.

But the start of year is always a time to reflect. It has been a challenging time, with highly volatile letter and parcel volumes and the first winter General Election for nearly 100 years. But thanks to all your hard work, you got us through our busiest time of year in style.

Also in the issue:

  • Accident-free – Plymouth Vehicle Operations Centre celebrate 1,000 days without injury - the equivalent of three years.
  • Return to sender – two London Customer Service Points (CSPs) show how they tackled the challenge of Peak returns.
  • Heart starter – Darren McLeod was in the right place at the right time when a customer fell from a ladder.

And finally, we’re excited to announce our partnership with Action for Children will now run until December 2020. After a brilliant 2019, we’re planning lots of new and exciting opportunities to get involved with the charity.
