Streets ahead

Your December Courier will be landing at homes from today – Friday 20 December

In your December issue of Courier, we look back at the highlights of the year and all your memorable achievements in the last 12 months.

We know that it’s our people who make Royal Mail such an amazing place to work. So, at this, our most important time of year, our final issue of 2019 celebrates all your incredible successes and stories from the year.

We exceeded our regulatory Quality of Service (QoS) targets for First and Second Class mail in the first half of the financial year. That success is reflected at Nottingham Mail Centre, where colleagues are delivering Christmas, having risen to second place in the country for quality performance measures at the half-year stage.

Also in the issue:

  • We could be heroes – how three incredible colleagues have enriched the lives of the communities they serve
  • A vintage year – from D-Day to Birds of Prey, Elton John to Spider-Man, this year’s Special Stamps have covered an incredible range of exciting topics
  • Simply the best – a street of Bristol residents have expressed their gratitude to postman Colin Payne, in a letter sent to the city's South East Delivery Office.

And finally, two loveable bears have been raising a smile and charity cash during a tour of the network. Rowlan and Hillda – the ‘Trucking Teds’ – spent two months on the road touring Royal Mail sites selling raffle tickets for our in-house charity, the Rowland Hill Fund.
