The Christmas holidays are just around the corner, which means it's peak season for customers to request our Royal Mail Keepsafe service.
Keepsafe is our service for holding customers’ letters and parcels safely at the delivery office while they’re away from home.
Customers choose Keepsafe for peace of mind – it protects against mail theft and identity fraud as it prevents piles of mail from building up on their doormat/letterbox, or in the entrance to their building.

Keepsafe takes five working days to set up, so now is the time to ensure customers are aware of the service, which could prove vital during the festive break.
Free for colleagues
Our Keepsafe service is available free of charge to all colleagues.
If you’re going away and want us to keep your mail securely at your local delivery office, you can take out this service for free.
Your line manager will need to complete an application form on your behalf, which they will find on the intranet
Your line manager needs to complete an application form on your behalf in order to verify your identity. The form can be found on the intranet under RMG & Me and ‘benefits’.
You can renew your Redirection for up to a maximum of four years and apply for Keepsafe for a maximum of two months in any one application.
