Over the moon’
Courier’s Sing into Christmas competition has finished, which means the vocal chords can now be put to rest.
With colleagues pulling out all the stops – from festive outfits to choreographed routines – the judging panel were met with some tough decisions.
Postman Petro Wychrij from Dingwall Delivery Office was awarded with the competition’s coveted top prize for his solo rendition of O Holy Night.
Petro was ecstatic when he heard he’d won £1,500 worth of vouchers: ‘I’m over the moon to win. It means my wife and I can give our boys an extra special Christmas.’
In second place, and winning a Haven holiday voucher, is Luke Barker – who wrote and played a guitar to perform his competition entry. He said: ‘The competition gave me the motivation to write my own song. I’m really looking forward to taking the family on holiday next year!’
A good song, some humour and a cameo from her four-legged friends meant postwoman Barbara Wright from Crewe Delivery Office took home the third prize, a short stay in a country cottage.
‘I can’t believe it’, she said. ‘That’s amazing, thank you!’
The group prize of a selection of vouchers was awarded to the fun performance by the employee relations case management team at HR services Sheffield. Happy shopping!
