Chatter boxes

With Christmas just around the corner, our talking postboxes are back on the streets to help spread some festive cheer.
First introduced last year, four postboxes have been decorated across the UK filled with elves ready to respond once a letter or card is posted.
Decked out in festive elf designs, the postboxes respond to letters being posted with the sounds of elves hard at work.
The four postboxes are located in busy hotspots in London’s Greenwich, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast, and will be in place for the entire festive season.
The festive postboxes are situated in the following locations:
- London: Greenwich Promenade, King William Walk, London, SE10 9HT.
- Cardiff: 29 Queen Street, Cardiff, CF10 2AH.
- Belfast: 4 Wellington Place, Belfast, BT1 6GE.
- Edinburgh: 137-141 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1SG.
Mark Street, head of campaigns, said: ‘At Royal Mail, we play a key role in delivering Christmas across the UK. While doing so, we always enjoy adding a little extra festive fun to sending Christmas post.’
