Make some noise!

Action for Children are seeking particularly noisy volunteers to act as official ‘cheerers’ at the Royal Parks Half-Marathon in London on Sunday 13 October.
The central London race takes in some of the capital's world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London's eight Royal Parks - Hyde Park, Green Park, St James's Park and Kensington Gardens.
Volunteers are needed for any time they can give between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Sunday 13 October. They will be stationed at Mile 11, opposite Queensway tube station towards Kensington Palace.
As cheerer, you’ll have the best seat in the house with a front row view of all the action. Your role is to make as much noise as you can to support Action for Children’s runners on their 13.1 mile run!
The louder and brighter the cheering team is the more you will encourage and motivate those taking part to continue on regardless of any aches and pains they may be experiencing. Also, entering into the spirit of The Royal Parks Half Marathon will ensure that you have a fantastic day.
Action for Children will provide you with an official Action for Children t-shirt, bang-bang sticks, clap bangers and pom poms, so there’s no doubt you’ll stand out to their runners.
What you’ll get out of it:
- Join a friendly team of people who want to make a difference, just like you
- Have a rewarding experience supporting Action for Children runners and being part of the event.
If you’d like to play a part in this fantastic day with an unrivalled atmosphere and a front row seat, please contact Kelly Sapwell on kelly.sapwell@actionforchildren.org.uk or 0774 045 5397.
