Let’s get started

Promote positive mental health at your site with these fantastic fundraising ideas from Action for Children

Thanks to your continued support, Action for Children’s Royal Mail-funded Blues Programme celebrates two years of blues-busting this October.

Since October 2017, more than 3,000 young people have been supported by and benefitted from Action for Children’s internationally acclaimed evidence based ‘blues busting’ course for teenagers, which aims to reduce the signs of adolescent low mood and negative thoughts and promote prevention.

From 10-17 October, Action for Children are asking colleagues to join in with the celebrations for the Blues Programme two-year anniversary. Check out their ‘Beating the Blues fundraising fun’ sheet for ideas to promote positive mental health and fundraising activities in your unit.

Across the week, Action for Children will be sharing Harvey’s story — a teenager who was supported by the Blues Programme — and how his father, Paul, was impacted by Harvey’s mental health.

Action for Children will also be providing ideas to help build yourself and your child’s emotional wellbeing, through their ‘Unplug and Play’ pack.

Royal Mail and Action for Children are working together to deliver better youth mental health across the UK.

Thank you for all your support and we can’t wait to see how you celebrate beating the blues! If you have any questions or you would like any further information at this stage, please email Vicky at RoyalMail@actionforchildren.org.uk.
