Calendar days
International colleagues have launched a bespoke 2020 calendar, which they are selling to support their fundraising in aid of Sebastian’s Action Trust.
Their ‘Our People, Our Community’ calendar features photos taken by colleagues based at Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre (HWDC) and our International Logistics Centre (ILC). After a different theme was chosen for each month, all photos were submitted to a judging panel whose monthly top picks were then selected for the calendar.
International colleagues have a long running relationship with the Sebastian’s Action Trust, which supports the families of local life-limited and seriously ill children, from diagnosis through to treatment and beyond.
Bob Lawrence, international operations communication and engagement lead, said: ‘We have been displaying photos taken by those who work in International each month in the HWDC canteen.
‘We’ve now produced a calendar featuring some of those photos and we’re delighted to be offering it for sale in aid of this amazing local charity, which we have been supporting for the last few years. The calendars are selling really well and we’re getting some great feedback.
‘We have even produced a short YouTube video showing some of the fantastic images taken by the team. The cost per calendar is £7.50. The calendar’s pages are A4 size and it’s been printed on 150gsm silk paper. They’re really great quality.
‘Each calendar is supplied in a cardboard envelope, meaning you can simply seal it, address it, apply postage and send it off to someone as a present. Everyone needs a calendar and they would make a great Christmas gift.
‘Visit our Sponsor Me page or click on our QR code if you would like to buy our calendar and contribute to this great cause.’
Pictured is facilities manager, Kevin Williams’s photo ‘Mirror Image,’ which was voted as the top photo in the ‘landscape’ category.
‘I took it in a place called ‘Arthur’s Pass,’ on South Island, New Zealand while crossing the Southern Alps a couple of years ago,’ said Kevin. ‘It was a bit of a wow moment to be honest!’
