Below is a selection of the best customer compliments we’ve received over the last few days.
Harry McNeil and Ocoee Hague– Stroud Delivery Office (pictured)
‘Harry and Ocoee are bright polite and extremely friendly. Growing up in a village, they’re true ambassadors of old-fashioned good-willed human beings. Harry used to whistle his way around the village and it always lifted my mood. Ocoee is so friendly. She lifts my spirits. I really hope Royal Mail values these two employees as much as I value their visits. I'm always warmed when they deliver. A complete credit to the Royal Mail service and family.’
Sue Wynniatt – Newbury Delivery Office
‘Absolutely lovely lady. She always goes out of her way for you. So polite and friendly, she will literally do anything for anyone. Even when not on duty she was absolutely delightful. Great face for the Royal Mail and a real credit to you.’

‘Many thanks to our local postman in Currie. He went out of his way this morning to help our neighbour back home after she got disorientated getting home after doing her shopping (she has Alzheimers and can get flustered at times, so ended up in the wrong street). Our postman went out of his way to make sure Irene got back home okay as he knew her from his round, and then let us know when he delivered the post that he’d given her a hand as he was concerned about her. Very much above and beyond.’
Philip Bates – Oakley Delivery Office
‘Phil delivers our company post every day. He is fantastic - friendly, professional and reliable. Thank you!’
Unknown – Lincoln Delivery Office
‘I’ve recently been involved in a car accident and I’m very unwell and in a lot of pain. Your colleague knocked to deliver a parcel and noticed that I wasn’t looking very well. He is a wonderfully friendly man anyway and always chats to customers. When he asked what was wrong, I told him and he wished me well and continued his rounds. However, when he had finished, he returned to my home with his colleague to check up on me and to see if there was anything they could do for me. I was so overwhelmed by this act of kindness that it brought me to tears. I don’t know his name but he is an older gentleman - please can someone thank him for me - I was having a really bad day and that small act of kindness meant the world to me.’
Ian Francis – Harrow Delivery Office
‘Outstanding customer service... with a smile! Ian provided me with some of the best service I’ve ever had dealing with Royal Mail - it was a genuine pleasure and I truly believe he is a credit to Royal Mail.’
Jenny Hazlewood – Huyton Delivery Office
‘Our regular post lady Jenny is absolutely amazing! Jenny not only goes the extra mile with regards to the job she’s designated to do, but Jenny also takes what little time she has to speak to us Royal Mail customers.’
Stuart – Stockton-on-Tees Delivery Office
‘Stuart our postman has served this area for a number of years and I felt that his virtues should be shared and appreciated by your good selves. Each day, a happy smiling greeting is forthcoming with a sincere question on one’s health and if today is proving to be a special day. In fact, a real tonic to start the day! This is how we judge our postman as a sincere caring person and in Stuart you have a pearl! Well done to him and I trust you will forward the gist of this text so that he’s aware that his kind thoughts and professionalism are well and truly appreciated!’
