Drum roll please…

This year’s Ops Fundraising Challenge raised an outstanding £330,000 for Action for Children

There are plenty of reasons to be proud of what we do at Royal Mail, and not just the lengths we go to deliver for our customers.

We’re fantastic at pulling together for causes we care about like our charity partner, Action for Children, and their pioneering youth mental health initiative, the Blues Programme, which was the focus for this year’s Ops Fundraising Challenge.

Tireless fundraising and incredible team spirit across the business have once again paid off with colleagues having raised over £330,000 including matched giving.

This incredible figure will help more than a thousand young people across the country take part in Action for Children’s internationally acclaimed blues busting course for teenagers aged 13-19.

And the winners are…

  • Overall winners (the team which raised the most money per head): Logistics & International
  • Outstanding team contribution: Greater Manchester Directorate – North Team
  • Outstanding individual contribution: Patrick McKenna – South Team
  • Most innovative fundraising idea: Parcelforce Worldwide’s ‘Pass the parcel’

Speaking about the incredible £26,574 that International colleagues raised, HWDC OPG Gurdip Grewal, said: ‘We feel very proud that we all joined together to raise this money for such a good cause.’

Watch the RMtv video above to find out what International colleagues did differently this year to help raise such an outstanding total.

Congratulations to all our winners and a huge thank you to everyone who took part and made this year’s challenge such a success.
