A brighter future

Join our charity partner, Action for Children for Byte Night 2019 and help raise awareness of youth homelessness in the UK.
The next Byte Night is scheduled for Friday 4 October and is the perfect opportunity to network with like-minded individuals who want to make a difference.
Around 83,000 young people in the UK are made homeless every year, and Action for Children finds this to be unacceptable. Action for Children does what’s right, what’s needed and what works for children in the UK by finding the root causes of homelessness and providing intensive support to help families tackle their issues and stay together.
We know that one in four homeless young people have been diagnosed with a mental health condition. Through Royal Mail’s support for events like Byte Night, we can support thousands of young people with Action for Children’s preventative mental health initiative; the Blues Programme.
Your support ensures that Action for Children can continue their early intervention work – making sure young people never get to the point where sleeping rough is their only option.
Action for Children does everything it can to stop them reaching the streets. In fact, last year, they helped nearly 2,000 young people remain in safe and secure housing. They also supported more than 2,600 young people and their families improve their relationships, and helped more than 2,500 young people develop stronger support networks – people they can rely on when worst comes to worst.
But they can only continue with this kind of work with your support. By sleeping on the streets this Byte Night, you will help more young people find safe and loving homes.
The money you raise will fund their work with young people across the UK, giving those who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness a brighter, more stable future.
