‘Celebrate and inspire’
Next week (23-29 September), Royal Mail will mark National Inclusion Week (NIW).
NIW is about building on the success of our January Altogether Different inclusion campaign, and celebrating the diversity of our colleagues by sharing their inspiring stories.
The theme for NIW is ‘Everyday Inclusion: Celebrate and Inspire’ - it is another great opportunity to celebrate the power of inclusion and belonging, by shining a spotlight on colleagues and our six diversity networks.
During the week we will focus on the importance of inclusive workplaces and diverse teams where all of us can feel valued and comfortable bringing our ‘whole selves’ to work, as well as recognising and valuing the differences and contributions of others.
Our aim is to celebrate diversity in its broadest sense, including diversity of thought and perspectives, skills and experiences, as well as nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
Head of diversity and inclusion, Andreyana Ivanova, said: ‘Being inclusive means valuing everyone and their unique contributions.
'We are proud of our people who, with their different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds make Royal Mail the best at what we do.’
