DHL Parcel UK (formerly UK Mail) is partnering with Paypoint to extend its click and collect and return facilities across the UK.
The so-called ‘DHL ServicePoints’ service will initially be available at 500 Paypoint locations, and is expected to roll out to a further 3,000 locations by the end of the year. DHL’s existing ServicePoint network with Pass My Parcel will now transition to Paypoint’s network.
The second phase of the partnership will see DHL Parcel UK launching an over the counter ‘Send’ service, allowing consumers to order and pay for a delivery online and then drop off their parcels at their local Paypoint store.
DHL Parcel UK CEO Peter Fuller said: ‘Our alliance with Paypoint gives us access to the largest click and collect network in the UK. This network allows us to offer consumers even more convenience and we hope the partnership will allow us to introduce even more parcel services in the future.’
Royal Mail continues to offer customers the convenience of visiting our customer service points, which, together with the Post Office, represent the UK’s largest parcels pick up and drop off network. Our Local Collect service is available in 11,700 sites around the UK.
At the end of June, the Collect+ network was in 7,100 Paypoint sites, and is the second largest click and collect network in the UK. It is unclear at this stage if or how DHL Servicepoints will work with Collect+.
