We must change

Colleagues in Clapham hear why our transformation journey is essential

Achim Dunnwald, our chief transformation and strategy officer, visited Clapham delivery office in south-west London on Thursday for his first Town Hall visit since he joined Royal Mail.

He spoke to around 30 colleagues about our strategy and why Royal Mail needs to change to meet the changing needs of our market. Colleagues asked about the impact of the changes ahead on jobs and working practices.

Achim and colleagues talked about the strategy and what it means for the business and the everyone individually.

What the strategy means for jobs in the future, our new parcels network and what this will mean for delivery were among the topics covered as colleagues were given the opportunity to ask questions.

Delivery office manager, Marek Filipiak, said: ‘It was great to have Achim here talking about the strategy for the next five years. Everyone was interested to see what the company is going to do in order to adapt to the changing demands of our customers.

‘I think one of the key challenges is the speed of change. We need adapt quickly and be positive about the changes. But I believe it’s all doable and we will successful as a company.’
