Summer is here, and it’s peak season for customers to request our Keepsafe service.
If you’re planning on going away any time soon and you don’t want everyone to know about it, our Keepsafe service will help keep your home and identity safe by holding onto your mail while you're away and safely returning it once you're back.
Are you worried about someone stealing your post while you’re away on holiday? Royal Mail can keep hold of customers’ mail when they are away from home, so their absence isn’t advertised by a pile of mail building up on the doormat.
A Keepsafe can prevent identity fraud by stopping mail falling into the wrong hands. It will also safely store mail for up to 66 days and takes just five days to set up.

How to apply for a Keepsafe
1. Online - The quickest way to buy a Keepsafe is online – we just need five days’ notice to get it set up.
2. By post - You can also print an application form, or pick up a form in your local delivery office.

Free for colleagues
Remember that our Redirection and Keepsafe services are available free of charge to Royal Mail colleagues.
If you’re moving house and want your mail redirected, or you’re going away and want us to keep your mail securely at your local delivery office, you can take out these services for free.
Your manager needs to complete an application form on your behalf in order to verify your identity. The form is available via the ‘Perks and Discounts’ section of My Bundle or the Benefits page on the intranet.
You can renew your Redirection for up to a maximum of four years and apply for Keepsafe for a maximum of two months in any one application.
