The right direction

Anton Harding, UK Delivery Operations Director, attended Kilburn Delivery Office on 16 July to talk to colleagues about the company’s new strategy and what it means for the business in both the short and long term.

More than 30 colleagues attended the session, which saw Anton discuss a wide range of topics including the shifting demands of our customers and the increasingly competitive marketplace.

Anton also fielded a number of questions from those in attendance, with questions on a diverse array of subjects such as the impact of our strategy on the company’s share price, the shift in focus from letters to parcels and the need to continue to promote the importance of letters.

After the session, Anton said: ‘There were lots of good questions, our frontline colleagues want to know what the changes mean, they’ve got some really good questions about why we’re changing and when you go into the detail, it really comes home and they understand.’

Graeme Richardson, Kilburn delivery office manager, said: ‘I think it’s really encouraging; having a senior leader come down to the office to talk us through the strategy allows us an opportunity to see the direction the company is going to take over the next number of years.

‘It’s about taking the company in the direction we need to go to remain competitive.’
