’Well done Royal Mail’

Customers continue to praise colleagues across the UK

‘Happy’ and ‘helpful’ are two words which consistently pop up in the weekly compliments we receive from grateful customers praising our people.

Below is a small selection of praise sent in by happy customers over the last few days.

Ryan Watson – Reading Delivery Office (pictured)

‘Ryan is a fantastic postman and a credit to Royal Mail. He always delivers our post promptly and it’s always treated with respect and nothing is spoilt or left hanging out of the letterbox. Ryan cares about his customers and is always happy, cheery and has the knack of remembering everyone’s name when he sees them! Ryan also makes sure he takes time to let people get to the door when he’s delivering a parcel or signed for letter and doesn’t just leave a card and rush away, which helps with the less mobile or elderly. I’d like to thank Ryan for being a first-class postman and hope he remains on our round for as long as he works for Royal Mail.’

‘I’m disabled, so can be slow to get to the door anyway, but today I had an ear infection too, so was even slower. The postman - who I did not recognise as a usual on our round - knocked loudly three times for a signature, allowing me time to move towards the door. Perhaps the postman saw the key safe and/or safety rails and paused, but whatever his reason, please thank this member of staff. I looked a right state, even at 10.15am as I felt so rough, yet he was polite and courteous. A real credit to Royal Mail. PS: All your staff in our area are amazing, from our long-distance runner postwoman, to our whistling postman. When you're on your own all day it's lovely to see people from the window happy in their work. Their endeavour is much appreciated.’

Arnold Sammy – Northampton Crow Lane Delivery Office

‘We just wanted to share how happy we are with our postman Arnold. He’s been our postman for a number of years and he is always so friendly and a very happy character. He’ll always make sure to ask how we are, and if we aren’t in, he delivers items to our friendly neighbours. It’s always a joy seeing him when we do! Thanks Arnold for all the great work you do.’

Unknown – Chard Delivery Office

‘Hi, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to the happy member of staff who was operating the Chard Delivery Dffice this morning around 10am. She not only made my two-year-old son’s day getting him to help her with my Amazon returns but also mine as he hasn't stopped talking about how much fun he had and now wants to do it all over again! She went out of her way to make something that he could easily have got frustrated about really interesting and fun, while making one pregnant mum a lot less stressed! I wish I had taken her name as she really deserves something special.’

Ezra Mentore – Harrow Delivery Office

‘Ezra is a cheerful and considerate postman, who always makes the time to get to know the local families on his round. Despite working in all weather conditions, he always has a smile and looks after your mail and parcels. He will be greatly missed on this route and we wish him every success for the future.’

Unknown – Llangefni Delivery Office

‘I opened my door to the most pleasant and personable lady delivering my contact lenses. Her whole presence was one of positiveness and helpfulness. I don’t know her name but she definitely deserves an extra ‘pat on the back’ for the way she lit up my evening. I must say my regular postman is always very helpful and pleasant too. Well done Royal Mail.’
