Our ongoing investments
Chief customer officer, Nick Landon, hosted a Town Hall session at Rugby delivery office.
Watch Nick talk about how he felt the session went by playing the video above.
Around 50 colleagues attended to hear Nick speak about current market trends regarding larger parcels and rising volumes as well as later acceptance times and customers expecting next-day deliveries.
Nick also spoke about our five-year strategy to optimise opportunities in a rapidly changing landscape, what our competitors are doing, and how we are investing £1.8 billion to transform the company into a parcels-led and more diversified international business.
Colleagues’ questions focused on how the business will accommodate the market demand for ever-later acceptance times and next day deliveries, will the USO change and, if so, how, will higher volumes of larger parcels mean larger vans, and with the planned investments and changes to the network, are jobs secure in delivery offices like Rugby?
A number of further Town Hall sessions are scheduled to take place across the country over the coming weeks as senior leaders share the business’ future strategy with colleagues across the UK. Look out for more updates on these sessions, and if there is a session scheduled for your site, please be sure to attend.
